Sight and Life (SAL), in collaboration with strategic implementation partners, is planning to launch an Egg Hub initiative in Senegal to strengthen local poultry systems, improve access to affordable and nutritious eggs, and support inclusive economic opportunities for smallholder farmers.
The initiative will adopt a market-based Egg Hub model that supports affiliated poultry farm groups through access to quality poultry inputs, technical assistance, production support, and market linkage services. The model is intended to strengthen local poultry value chains while improving productivity, sustainability, and commercial viability among participating farmers. SAL intends to partner with a qualified private sector poultry operator to establish and manage the Egg Hub and coordinate support services to affiliated poultry farm groups.
The objective of this partnership is to establish and operationalize an Egg Hub in Senegal that will support six (6) affiliated poultry farm groups through a centralized poultry support and service model.
The selected Egg Hub Operator will be expected to:
