2. Position Overview/ Aperçu du poste
Sight and Life is seeking a Country Manager to coordinate Sight and Life input in the NICE project and other nutrition-related interventions in Senegal.
The position is based in Dakar and reports directly to the Africa Director.

3. Key Responsibilities/ Responsabilités principales
3.1 Coordinate the inputs of Sight and Life to the Nutrition in City Ecosystems ( NICE) project in Senegal, including:
A. Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC)
· Adapt SBCC tools and materials developed in Rwanda and Kenya to the Senegalese context
· Design and implement evidence-based SBCC strategies targeting key nutrition behaviors
· Conduct audience analysis (barriers, drivers, social norms)
· Develop communication materials (radio, print, training tools)
· Build capacity of health staff and project partners
· Integrate SBCC approaches into agricultural and nutrition interventions
· Monitor and evaluate SBCC activities, including documentation of results and learning
B. Egg Hub Development
· Lead mapping and profiling of stakeholders in the egg value chain
· Support selection of Egg Hub operators and affiliated farmers
· Oversee establishment and operationalization of Egg Hub model
· Monitor performance, quality, and profitability of the hub
· Ensure reporting and continuous improvement
3.1 Coordination du projet NICE (Sénégal)
A. Communication pour le Changement Social et Comportemental (SBCC)
· Adapter les outils SBCC développés au Rwanda et au Kenya
· Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des stratégies fondées sur des données probantes
· Réaliser des analyses des publics cibles
· Développer des supports de communication
· Renforcer les capacités des équipes et partenaires
· Intégrer les approches SBCC dans les interventions nutritionnelles et agricoles
· Assurer le suivi et l’évaluation
B. Développement de l’Egg Hub
· Cartographier les acteurs de la chaîne de valeur des œufs
· Appuyer la sélection des opérateurs
· Superviser la mise en place et les opérations
· Suivre la performance et la rentabilité
· Assurer le reporting et l’amélioration continue
3.2 Coordinate other Sight and Life Activities in Senegal
· Oversee implementation of additional SAL interventions in nutrition, food systems, and livelihoods
· Ensure alignment with organizational strategy and donor requirements

3.3 Representation and Partnerships
· Represent Sight and Life in national coordination platforms, government meetings, and stakeholder events

4. Competencies/ Compétences
· Strong expertise in SBCC and behavior change approaches
· Knowledge of agricultural value chains, particularly in food systems
· Analytical skills (KAP surveys, data-driven decision-making)
· Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership management skills

5. Qualifications and Experience / Qualifications et expérience
· Master’s degree in nutrition, social sciences, communication, behavioral science, agriculture, international development, or related field
· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in managing development programs
· Experience in value chain development and market-based approaches
· Strong project management and strategic thinking skills
· Experience developing communication materials and working with media

· Fluent in French and Wolof
· Working proficiency in English required

The Country Manager will report to the Africa Director and work closely with:
· NICE project consortium partners (find out more about NICE below)
· Government and local stakeholders
· Sight and Life global team

The Nutrition in City Ecosystems (NICE) project is part of the Health and Food Section of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The project aims to improve nutrition and reduce poverty among vulnerable urban populations by strengthening sustainable, inclusive, and nutrition-sensitive food systems.
