

Yana Manyuk is a professional with 15 years of experience in health & social marketing and social & behavioral change. Yana has specialized in applying behavioral science principles to strengthen the design, delivery, and communication components of public health nutrition programs.
She has worked in the international food systems sector for over 15 countries, including in protracted crises and sudden-on-set emergencies across Africa and Asia, supporting organizations such as the UN World Food Programme, World Health Organization, UNICEF, The Rockefeller Foundation, the Sight and Life Foundation, and others.
At Sight and Life, Yana leads the Social and Behavioral Change and Demand Generation work pillar. She has successfully led the social and behavioral change within global food systems transformation projects, such as NICE, demonstrating increased demand for nutritious foods amongst families living in secondary cities in Rwanda and Bangladesh. She has also supervised multiple qualitative research studies with the aim of understanding acceptability and demand generation pathways for MMS.
Yana holds a Master’s degree with distinction in Health and Social Marketing from Middlesex University, UK, and a BA in Cultural and Media Studies from Maastricht University, NL. She currently serves as adjunct professor at the University of Florida, College of Journalism and Communication, MA in Public Interest Communication, and sits on the university’s educator’s network and summer institute planning committee.
