Since its beginnings, SIGHT AND LIFE has actively followed a strategy of enabling Knowledge Creation and Dissemination to clarify the role of vitamin A – and, since 2003, other micronutrients as well – in promoting human health and wellbeing, and widely diffuse the knowledge. This strategy is operationalized in a number of ways:

– Providing financial as well as in-kind (in the form of
supplements) support to nutrition intervention programs that
facilitate project-based research and knowledge creation.
– Awarding training and education grants to developing
country nationals so they can acquire more knowledge and
   qualifications in internationally-renowned nutrition
academies and advance public health efforts in their own
   countries.
Publishing educational products, including books, brochures,
movies and posters targeted at health workers,
scientists, and  people working in government, non-govern-
mental organizations and the media, in various languages.
– Organizing workshops and conferences on key public health
and nutrition issues to strengthen practitioner and knowledge
networks to implement and advocate for effective action to
   mitigate Hidden Hunger.
